We’ve just back home from our 14 days stay at Ardrhu Cottage, and we want back… NOW! Who said it would always rain in Scotland? We were three times in five years in different areas of Scotland, and we always had fantastic weather and sunshine on almost all days. Also this time, with a glorious golden Oktober. The Cottage was well equipped and cosy. Some single Furnitures had seen their best days, but in sum it was clean, tidy, cosy and worth every single pence we have paid. From almost every window we had these breathtaking views on the Loch Linnhe and the surrounding highland scenery. And the absolut highlight was the atmosphere in the conservatory. The Kids loved the stones and shells on the beach just beside the cottage. There are many things to discover in the local area if you don’t want to drive to much. But on the other side it’s a perfect spot for daily tours through the western highland, included the Inner Hebrides like Skye, Mull and so on. We hope we’re back soon!!! 20 Oct 2016
Ardrhu is an immaculately presented and thoughtfully equipped cottage right on Loch Linnhe. Although only a short drive away from the facilities and activities of Fort William, it is in a peaceful enclave with no passing traffic and uninterrupted views of the loch. The many fabulous walks of the Glen Coe and Ben Nevis area, as well as the less visited places such as the Ardnamurchan Peninsula are all within easy reach. The cottage is spacious and could accommodate six people very comfortably. To cap it off though, the conservatory is a fantastic place to eat or just sit and admire the view. 24 Sep 2016
Absolutely gorgeous location right on the shore of loch linnhe. Our party of 4 plus our cockapoo have enjoyed a brilliant week here. The house is perfect – has everything you could need and more. It is also a perfect base for exploring this beautiful region of Scotland. We were blessed to have great weather most of the week and so saw Scotland at its best but the days we had wind and rain were fine for us too because the house is so spacious, cosy and comfortable. We would thoroughly recommend this property for a holiday exploring the beauties of the Scottish highlands. 17 Sep 2016
We have just stayed in Joanne and Adrian’s fantastic cottage in a stunning location on the shores of Loch Linnhe. This cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and spacious with 3 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms as well. The kitchen is well equipped. Bedrooms are comfortable. The loch is just at the bottom of the large fenced in garden which has patio furniture for you to sit and enjoy the views outdoors. The large spacious conservatory was the best room by far (all the rooms have good views) in the house to enjoy the spectacular views and ever changing weather conditions (better than watching boring TV). Glen Coe and the Isle of Mull can be seen from here. There are plenty of things to see and do: Short drive to Glen Coe, Glen Nevis, Fort William, Neptunes steps and Glenfinnan Viaduct as seen in the Harry Potter movies .There is picturesque walk from the cottage to Inchree waterfalls. Enjoyed it so much that we didn’t want to leave and are already planning our next visit next year 10 Sep 2016
Perfect cottage, everything we could have wished for. Huge enclosed garden for the dogs & the views were amazing. Just wish we had booked for longer. 3 Sep 2016
Wonderful cottage, stunning views and so very peaceful – just what we wanted! So much to explore within a short drive, Steall Falls, a Gondola ride, a loch cruise and Glenfinnan Viaduct, timed perfectly to see the Harry Potter train. It was lovely to return to such a well equipped cottage (plenty of everything in the Kitchen and all very clean) and comfy beds with quality bedding. When at ‘home’ we lived in the conservatory enjoying the changing views throughout the day. Thanks Joanne for your warm welcome and for providing a cottage to be proud of. 20 Aug 2016
Just come back from an absolutely fantastic stay at Ardrhu Cottage and even the weather didn’t ruin it for us. The cottage has everything you could wish for including stunning views in every room. There were 5 adults + 1 dog staying here and the cottage is a lot bigger than seems on the photos, so there was never a feeling of over crowding. The beach is literally a stones throw away which is perfect for our morning strolls and so peaceful. The beds are also really comfy, so be prepared for the best nights sleep ever. Fort William is a short drive away with a Morrison’s supermarket, which is convenient. For a day trip I recommend the Jacobite railway but strongly recommend you book before the arrival on your holiday as this sells out pretty quick due to its popularity with Harry Potter fans. Was lovely to see Joanne again after all these years and we will all be booking to stay here again soon as we did not want to leave. 25 Jun 2016
