We’ve just back home from our 14 days stay at Ardrhu Cottage, and we want back… NOW! Who said it would always rain in Scotland? We were three times in five years in different areas of Scotland, and we always had fantastic weather and sunshine on almost all days. Also this time, with a glorious golden Oktober. The Cottage was well equipped and cosy. Some single Furnitures had seen their best days, but in sum it was clean, tidy, cosy and worth every single pence we have paid. From almost every window we had these breathtaking views on the Loch Linnhe and the surrounding highland scenery. And the absolut highlight was the atmosphere in the conservatory. The Kids loved the stones and shells on the beach just beside the cottage. There are many things to discover in the local area if you don’t want to drive to much. But on the other side it’s a perfect spot for daily tours through the western highland, included the Inner Hebrides like Skye, Mull and so on. We hope we’re back soon!!!  20 Oct 2016

Ardrhu is an immaculately presented and thoughtfully equipped cottage right on Loch Linnhe. Although only a short drive away from the facilities and activities of Fort William, it is in a peaceful enclave with no passing traffic and uninterrupted views of the loch. The many fabulous walks of the Glen Coe and Ben Nevis area, as well as the less visited places such as the Ardnamurchan Peninsula are all within easy reach. The cottage is spacious and could accommodate six people very comfortably. To cap it off though, the conservatory is a fantastic place to eat or just sit and admire the view.  24 Sep 2016

Absolutely gorgeous location right on the shore of loch linnhe. Our party of 4 plus our cockapoo have enjoyed a brilliant week here. The house is perfect – has everything you could need and more. It is also a perfect base for exploring this beautiful region of Scotland. We were blessed to have great weather most of the week and so saw Scotland at its best but the days we had wind and rain were fine for us too because the house is so spacious, cosy and comfortable. We would thoroughly recommend this property for a holiday exploring the beauties of the Scottish highlands.  17 Sep 2016

We have just stayed in Joanne and Adrian’s fantastic cottage in a stunning location on the shores of Loch Linnhe. This cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and spacious with 3 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms as well. The kitchen is well equipped. Bedrooms are comfortable. The loch is just at the bottom of the large fenced in garden which has patio furniture for you to sit and enjoy the views outdoors. The large spacious conservatory was the best room by far (all the rooms have good views) in the house to enjoy the spectacular views and ever changing weather conditions (better than watching boring TV). Glen Coe and the Isle of Mull can be seen from here. There are plenty of things to see and do: Short drive to Glen Coe, Glen Nevis, Fort William, Neptunes steps and Glenfinnan Viaduct as seen in the Harry Potter movies .There is picturesque walk from the cottage to Inchree waterfalls. Enjoyed it so much that we didn’t want to leave and are already planning our next visit next year 10 Sep 2016

Perfect cottage, everything we could have wished for. Huge enclosed garden for the dogs & the views were amazing. Just wish we had booked for longer. 3 Sep 2016

Wonderful cottage, stunning views and so very peaceful – just what we wanted! So much to explore within a short drive, Steall Falls, a Gondola ride, a loch cruise and Glenfinnan Viaduct, timed perfectly to see the Harry Potter train. It was lovely to return to such a well equipped cottage (plenty of everything in the Kitchen and all very clean) and comfy beds with quality bedding. When at ‘home’ we lived in the conservatory enjoying the changing views throughout the day. Thanks Joanne for your warm welcome and for providing a cottage to be proud of. 20 Aug 2016

Just come back from an absolutely fantastic stay at Ardrhu Cottage and even the weather didn’t ruin it for us. The cottage has everything you could wish for including stunning views in every room. There were 5 adults + 1 dog staying here and the cottage is a lot bigger than seems on the photos, so there was never a feeling of over crowding. The beach is literally a stones throw away which is perfect for our morning strolls and so peaceful. The beds are also really comfy, so be prepared for the best nights sleep ever. Fort William is a short drive away with a Morrison’s supermarket, which is convenient. For a day trip I recommend the Jacobite railway but strongly recommend you book before the arrival on your holiday as this sells out pretty quick due to its popularity with Harry Potter fans. Was lovely to see Joanne again after all these years and we will all be booking to stay here again soon as we did not want to leave. 25 Jun 2016

What can I say about this amazing house!! We absolutely love it and have stayed quite a few times now! It’s like a second home now! It’s got everything you’ll possibly need for a perfect comfortable stay in such a amazing place. The walks along the shore of the Loch at any time a day are amazing and nearby to amazing walks, Inchtree Waterfalls walk is a must do and Ballachulish quarry is stunning and then Glen Coe all over the area is fantastic too! Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and the log burner fire is fabulous and cosy on a evening and there’s loads of logs to keep you going!! Cannot recommended this place enough.

WOW, What an amazing place to stay. The Cottage is large and spacious and the views across the loch are incredible. Based on the shores of Loch Linnhe, it is the ideal base for exploring the local area or even having a cosy day in enjoying the views and the local wildlife. It is one of those places that you can’t wait to go back to.Thanks for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cottage.

We have been visiting Scotland for our holidays for many years.Once you have experienced the dramatic mountains and incredible beauty of the many lochs it is impossible to stay away. The same applies to Ardrhu. There is an abundance of places to go and gasp at spectacular scenery but on the other hand, one of the best reasons for a trip to Ardrhu is that the spectacular views are right there outside the windows.Enjoy the magnificent loch and mountain view whilst enjoying a hot chocolate in the conservatory or a cream tea in the garden. The enclosed lawn is big enough to play balls games in and parking is near the entrance if you happen to have a shower or two.Once inside Ardrhu you will appreciate the cosiness provided by the central heating on cooler days and the spacious freezer for ice cream on hot days.Everything you need to prepare family meals is in the kitchen and Tesco will deliver food or if you prefer a Co-op is a short drive away in Ballachulish. There are many places to visit locally or further afield.Fort William is only a short drive and has a bookshop which we always visit. Ben Nevis like Glencoe should be admired at every opportunity.Once you are exhausted and need to rest your eyes the bedrooms are comfy and warm with plenty of storage. The multiple bathrooms mean everyone can get ready to go out at the same time.Over the years we have been visiting our hosts have bought new furniture, curtains and blinds, wallpapered and constantly improved the holiday home to keep an already lovely home in top shape despite its busy life. With a washing machine and separate dryer and a dyson vacuum it is an easy place to stay and enjoy a holiday in a spot in Scotland we would stay forever if it was not for jobs.We have stayed at a lot of self-catering properties in the Highlands but this is the one that we have returned to the most. Been returning since 2014 which say’s it all.

A wonderful cottage 5 stars

A repeat trip to this cottage for us and it was just as amazing as we remembered. Fully equipped with everything you need and the views are to die for. We never got tired of walks along the beach just in front of the cottage. It is such a peaceful location with stunningly beautiful sunsets.

Lovely cottage in stunning location 5 stars

This is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The views from the sun room are to die for. The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival and very comfortable for our party of five. We had an issue with one of the toilets but the landlords were excellent and organised a plumber to come in and rectify it quickly. The garden was beautifully kept and the whole surrounding area was lovely. Thoroughly recommend this cottage as an excellent quiet location to stay

This house is just amazing in every way. Before we even got there we had a bit of a drama with our groceries which were going to get there before us. No problem at all, Joanne said she could be there to let them in or if we made it in time we could get in early. The house itself was just spotless, tidy but cosy and inviting and then the view was jsut something else. I could have easily spent my week just at Joannes place. We had a beach on site which the kids loved and peaceful, just so peaceful. I’d move in if I could, loved every minute and a hit with the whole family. Thank you Joanne, thank you so much.

Fabulous restful week here, in beautiful location. The house was just what we needed with beautiful views, great walk along the shoreline and a comfortable sun room to gaze out from. We all loved it! Thanks Joanne.

Ardrhu cottage is at amazing location. Location is perfect for exploring either side, Glen Coe and Glen Nevis. It is very comfortable, homely and well equipped cottage. Sun lounge, of course is the best room with views of loch and mountains. Communication, directions and response from Joanne was prompt and excellent. Thank you.

Outstanding Accommodation
Wonderful house with wonderful views. Lochside with picture views out all windows. Fully equipped with eveything you need for an extended stay – we stayed 8 nights. The photos and description are accurate but can’t do the house full justice – the house is vey spacious and the views are even better. Great water pressure and temperature in the showers. Supermarkets nearby in Ballachulish and Fort William. Nice walks nearby at Inchree Falls, Sutherlands Grove and Glencoe. Nice fresh seafood restaurant also nearby. Highly recommended.

Perfect cottage in a stunning location
We keep returning to this cottage as it is a truly wonderful home from home with amazing views across the loch. We all love the lochside walks each day and there are so many great places to visit in the area – Steall falls, Glencoe, Glenfinnan Viaduct, Fort William, Mull, Skye to name but a few. The cottage is extremely well equipped so any rainy stay inside days are very comfortable. We will return!
